On the occasion of the 66th National Day and Malaysia Day, the Director of The IORA Regional Centre for Science and Technology Transfer (IORA RCSTT) participated in the celebration that was held at the residence of the Malaysian Ambassador on September 5, 2023, in Tehran.
Independence Day, also known as National Day, is the independence day of the Federation of Malaya from the British Empire. It commemorates the Malayan Declaration of Independence of 31 August 1957, and is defined in article 160 of the Constitution of Malaysia. The day is marked by official and unofficial ceremonies and observances across the country.
He attended the ceremony at the direct invitation of the Malaysian Ambassador, H. E. Khairi Bin Omar. It is worth noting that a group of ambassadors and charge d'affaires of embassies based in Tehran and representatives of private companies were present in this celebration.
In this meeting, Dr. Sanjabi, the Director of IORA RCSTT congratulated Malaysian Independence Day and called for more activity of Malaysia in the Association of IORA and also the development of more cooperation as one of the main pillars of IORA. The Ambassador promised that they would not refrain from any cooperation in this field.
